Don't buy an older, used helmet and expect it to protect your head. Most people who ride scooters feel more comfortable wearing a half shell helmet. These helmets offer very good visibility and a less constrictive feeling. They're easier to store on your scooter and they allow other drivers to see your face. They are great for scooting around town; especially on sunny days.
Whichever choice you make, make sure you're getting a good quality, new product that it D.O.T. approved. Try to stay away from unknown brands. The fit should be snug, but not cramped. If you lean forward and hang your head down, your helmet should stay in place. If it's a half-shell make sure the chin-strap is comfortable and stable for your face shape and head size. >> If you have any questions about this or any other topic, please don't hesitate to contact us:206.763.0160 or info@bigpeoplescooters.com |
